Wirehaired Breeds

There are just four breeds in the UK with the word Wirehaired or Wire in the name of the breed in the KC breed standard. Each breed is totally different from the other type of coated dog with basically the same name apart from the word Wire and should never be judged or classed as the same breed as each other. That is why they have their own breed standard as the KC recognises of them that they are a different and separate breed … only the names of the breeds bear resemblance.
